Advises clients on disposition of assets in a second marriage and blended family situations. Provides advice on minimizing estate taxes for wealthier individuals through the use of estate planning vehicles, such as: Wills with estate tax savings trusts, charitable giving trusts, dynasty trusts, and multi-generational planning vehicles. Provides guidance on the necessity of a revocable living trust versus the necessity of a Will. Advises clients on beneficiary designations for retirement plans and insurance policies to ensure the assets conform to client’s overall estate plan. Estate planning guidance for establishing education trusts.

Estate Administration – Providing advice and guidance on the administration of a decedent’s estate, including filing probate documents, preparation of estate tax returns, fiduciary income tax planning for the estate, distribution of the decedent’s assets and the discharge of the Executor from their fiduciary duties. Advises clients on the disposition of decedent’s business interests at death that is most advantageous for beneficiaries. Providing advice to the beneficiary for personal estate planning.

Business Succession Planning – Working in conjunction with a business attorney to advise clients on the best structure for passing businesses to next generation in order to minimize estate taxes and protect assets from creditors through the use of entities, such as LLCs and Family Limited Partnerships. Advises clients on gifting business to children during lifetime through the use of estate planning vehicles to reduce gift tax value and leverage estate tax exemption.

Special Needs Planning – Advises clients on using special needs trusts for persons with disabilities and appointment of guardians. Protection of assets for special needs client during lifetime and at death. Provides advice on the appointment of guardians for special needs children and adults.
